US President Donald Trump has called on California Governor Gavin Newskam and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass to apologize for their terrible work. He stated this on June 8, commenting on the clashes between protesters and the US Immigration Police (ICE).

"Governor Gavin Newskam and 'Mayor' Bass owe the people of Los Angeles an apology for the absolutely terrible job they have done, and that now includes the ongoing riots in Los Angeles," he said in a message on the Truth Social network.

Trump also called the protesters "troublemakers" and "paid rioters" who, as he noted in an earlier post, "occupied" the once great American city of Los Angeles and are trying to interfere with the operation to deport them.

Mass protests in California began after a police raid to identify illegal migrants, during which 45 people were detained. On June 7, Trump ordered the National Guard to be sent to the state to stop the riots, which drew condemnation from the governors of 22 states, who regarded this as an "abuse of power."
