A Ukrainian citizen living in Kamchatka had his residence permit revoked and was denied Russian citizenship for contacting the Ukrainian military and intending to engage in espionage for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on June 9 in the press service of the FSB office for the Kamchatka Territory.

During the operational search activities, it was established that the man was in contact with a representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and intended to collect information about Kamchatka military personnel taking part in a special military operation for subsequent transfer to the enemy.

It is clarified that the attacker did not have time to commit a particularly serious crime, as he was prevented by the operational actions of the FSB officers of the Russian Federation.

On June 4, the FSB Public Relations Center reported that two women had been detained in the Republic of Crimea, who were passing information about military installations in the region to the Ukrainian special services. A criminal case was opened against the suspects under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason in the form of espionage").
