- The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that the Madeline vessel was sailing to the coast of the country.

The Madeline vessel, carrying Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg, is heading for the shores of Israel. This was announced on June 9 by the press service of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
The "selfie yacht" of the "celebrities" is safely heading to the shores of Israel," the press service said in a statement on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
In addition, the ministry clarified that all people on board will be sent to their home countries.
According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Thunberg tried to organize a provocation to attract public attention. The press service added that there was "less than one aid truck" on board the eco-activist's ship, while over the past two weeks at least 1,2 thousand such vehicles have been sent from Israel to Gaza.
"The small amount of aid that was on the yacht and was not used by the celebrities will be transferred to Gaza through real humanitarian channels," the ministry said.
On the same day, the press service of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition reported that an alert had been issued on the next ship to Gaza, the Madeleine. One of the activists, Thiago Aliva, said there were "a lot of lights" around the ship.
French MEP Rima Hassan said on May 28 that Thunberg intends to visit the Gaza Strip as part of a humanitarian mission, despite its blockade by the Israeli army. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, in turn, noted that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had been instructed to prevent the Greta Thunberg flotilla from reaching the shores of the Gaza Strip.
