The next ship in Gaza, the Madeleine, carrying Greta Thunberg, an environmental activist from Sweden, has been alerted. This was announced on June 9 by the press service of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition.

"An alert has been issued at the Madeleine," the press service said in a Telegram channel.

In addition, one of the activists aboard the Madeleine, Thiago Aliva, said there were "many lights" around the ship. The press service added that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were flying over the ship.

The coalition said that later representatives of the Israeli army boarded the ship.

On June 8, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had been instructed to prevent the Greta Thunberg flotilla from reaching the shores of the Gaza Strip. The minister also called Thunberg an "anti-Semite" and urged her to turn the ship around.

French MEP Rima Hassan announced on May 28 that Thunberg intends to visit the Gaza Strip as part of a humanitarian mission, despite its blockade by the Israel Defense Forces.
