The cause of the fire in an industrial warehouse in the east of Moscow, which killed two people, could be a short circuit in the wiring. This was announced on June 8 in the capital's GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was a short circuit in the wiring," the agency said in a Telegram channel post.

The ministry added that in the near future, a number of examinations will be appointed on the fact of the incident, which will include fire-technical and forensic medical examinations. Representatives of the Moscow Investigative Committee continue to work at the scene.

A fire in an industrial warehouse on Permskaya Street in the east of the capital was recorded on June 8. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations later reported the deaths of two people as a result of the incident. A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of labor protection requirements resulting in the death of two persons by negligence").
