The LDPR Party will amend the draft law on the seizure of property of citizens who have committed administrative offenses against the interests of the Russian Federation abroad. Leonid Slutsky, the leader of the LDPR faction in the State Duma, told Izvestia about this.

"The enemies of our country should not be allowed to live peacefully and comfortably at its expense. We believe that the arrest should be applied not only to property owned by a person acting against Russia, but also to property jointly owned by their spouses or shared property with other persons. Appropriate amendments will be made by us," he said.

Slutsky added that as early as January 2024, deputies of the LDPR faction applied to the Ministry of Justice with a proposal to oblige foreign agents to provide information on the income and property of family members annually, because they transfer their apartments, cars and shares to relatives when they want to evade responsibility.

On May 13, the State Duma approved a draft law on the seizure of property of citizens who violated Russia's interests outside the country in the first reading and decided to amend it by June 11.
