Zakharova stated Zelensky's desire to increase the number of victims among the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is "begging" the United States for missiles in order to increase the number of victims in the ranks of his army and not take the bodies of the dead soldiers of the country's Armed Forces (AFU) again. This was announced on June 8 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

Zakharova recalled that Zelensky complained that the United States had sent 20,000 missiles destined for Kiev to the Middle East.

"For some reason, 6 thousand packages destined for Ukraine are not being picked up. He's also begging for missiles to increase the number of victims. And they won't pick it up again," the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on her Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian leader called further meetings with Russia in Istanbul meaningless.

Yesterday, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said that the Ukrainian side had unexpectedly postponed indefinitely the reception of the bodies of dead soldiers and the exchange of prisoners of war. He also called on Ukraine to comply with the agreed schedule and fulfill all the agreements that were reached at the second round of negotiations in Istanbul.

Prior to that, Zelensky said that Kiev refuses to take the memorandum of the Russian Federation seriously. The Ukrainian leader added that he considers it "pointless" to continue meetings in Istanbul at the current level of delegations.
