Politico reported on a phone conversation between representatives of Trump and Musk

Representatives of US President Donald Trump and American billionaire Elon Musk had a telephone conversation on June 6, after which the exchange of barbs between the US president and the billionaires stopped, Politico newspaper reported on June 8, citing sources.
According to media reports, the shaky detente in the struggle on social media between Trump and the businessman continues after a telephone conversation between representatives of both sides.
"He has stopped posting messages, but this does not mean that he is happy," the publication quoted one of the American officials as saying that Trump has so far publicly stopped criticizing Musk on Truth Social.
According to another source, it is not at all clear what the relationship between Trump and Musk will be in the future.
On June 3, Musk criticized the draft budget proposed by the Trump administration, calling it a disgusting abomination. On June 5, Musk publicly supported the idea of impeaching the current president. Trump, in turn, wrote that terminating contracts with Musk is the easiest way to save money in the state budget. At the same time, Tesla shares fell sharply. Later, Trump said that he did not want to communicate with Musk, as he had "lost his mind."
On June 7, Musk's father Errol told Izvestia that the American leader would be the winner in the conflict between Trump and the entrepreneur. He noted that both Trump and Musk firmly adhere to their principles and this is absolutely normal. Later, on June 8, Errol Musk said that his son was suffering from "post-traumatic stress disorder in the White House" and believed that he had "made a mistake" helping Trump in the election. He added that Trump and Musk still don't know what to do, "so they're fighting each other until they can get back to normal."
