At least 28 people have been killed in a truck accident in Tanzania. This was reported on Sunday, June 8, by The Tanzania Times agency, citing the local police.

The incident occurred near the border with Zambia. According to police, the truck's brakes failed, after which it collided with two vehicles, including a minibus, and fell into the river.

The accident killed 28 people, including 10 women and four children. Eight more people were injured.

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan expressed her condolences to the families of the victims on the social network X (ex.Twitter). She also urged drivers to follow the rules of the road and exercise caution on the roads.

On June 4, it was reported that two people were killed and 13 injured in an accident with a regular bus in Thailand. There were 28 people on the bus, 13 of whom were injured in the accident.
