Melitopol, part of Energodar and six municipal districts of the Zaporizhia region were left without electricity as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on June 8 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.
According to him, the shutdown affected the Azov, Chernigov, Pologovsky, Kamensk-Dneprovsky, Akimovsky and Primorsky districts. The restoration work is being carried out in stages.
"I ask residents of areas where there is no electricity to be patient, specialists are working," Balitsky clarified in his Telegram channel.
On the same day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the 110 kV Rylsk substation in the Kursk region, as a result of which the Rylsky district was completely de—energized, and Glushkovsky and Korenevsky were partially de-energized.
