- Zelensky reported on the transfer of 20,000 missiles to the United States to the Middle East instead of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky complained about the US authorities, who decided to transfer more than 20,000 missiles promised to the country's Armed Forces (AFU) to the countries of the Middle East. The Ukrainian leader expressed concern on June 8 in an interview with ABC News.
"We were counting on these 20,000 missiles," he said.
Zelensky explained that he had agreed on supplies with the former White House administration. However, on the day of the interview, I learned that the Americans had changed their previous decision and would not transfer the batch of weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On June 4, The Wall Street Journal reported that Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth ordered the redirection to the needs of the Air Force US missile fuses (UAVs) promised to Ukraine. It is specified that the fuses of the missiles that Kiev uses to intercept drones will be redirected to the US military in the Middle East. Military expert, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk noted on June 5 that the US refusal to transfer fuses for land-based missiles to Ukraine would be a blow to Kiev.
