A second eruption of the Fuego volcano began in Guatemala, the Infobae portal reported on June 8.

As noted in the social network X (ex. Twitter) blogger Rafael Capaco, the authorities are conducting a mass evacuation of the population due to the intense release of lava.

"Millions of tons of natural CO2 are being released into the atmosphere, and you still think that veganism and an electric car are saving the planet," he commented on the video of the eruption on his page.

Before that, the Fuego volcano erupted on Friday, June 6, for 13 hours. An orange danger level was declared, and more than 700 people were evacuated from the nearby area.

On June 2, Mount Etna erupted on the Italian island of Sicily. Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe. Etna released fountains of lava, a column of ash and smoke. It was noted that the lava from the Etna eruption had not reached nearby settlements for several decades. Alexey Kokorin, a climatologist and climate expert at the Nature and People Foundation, noted that even if the ash reaches the territory of Russia, it will not bring tangible consequences, since the ash will not rise above 6-7 km.
