The number of breast cancer cases among young women is increasing worldwide. This was announced on Sunday, June 8, according to NBC News.

"The incidence of breast cancer is increasing faster among young women than among the elderly. Doctors say that several factors are likely to play a role, including lifestyle, hormones, and environmental influences," the article says.

According to the publication, several young celebrities have announced their breast cancer over the past year. Overall, the number of new breast cancer diagnoses in young women has increased over the past decade. Moreover, this trend applies to all racial and ethnic groups.

"Black women have the highest incidence of breast cancer under the age of 40, and they are the most likely to die from this disease," the newspaper reported.

According to the TV channel, young women are more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer compared to older women. One of the reasons NBC News cites is that they don't get screened as often. This makes it more difficult to detect cases at an early stage.

Now the American Cancer Society recommends mammography from the age of 30, as well as an annual breast MRI scan.

The TV channel lists the factors influencing the occurrence of breast cancer. These include diets high in ultra-processed foods or lack of physical activity, which can lead to obesity, which in turn increases the risk of cancer.

"Exposure to environmental toxins such as air pollution, chemicals, or microplastics may also play a role," the article states.

Some researchers have stated that additional data is needed to "definitively establish this relationship."

Associate Professor of the Department of Fundamental Medical Disciplines at the State University of Enlightenment, physiologist Tatiana Krymtseva said on June 4 that the risk factors for physical activity are chronic diseases, primarily of the cardiovascular system and musculoskeletal system, as well as excessive physical exertion.
