A mass rally against Prime Minister Sanchez took place in Madrid.

Thousands of Madrid residents gathered in the center of the Spanish capital for a rally against the government of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. This was reported by The Guardian newspaper on Sunday, June 8.
"Tens of thousands of people gathered in the center of Madrid to protest against the government of Spanish socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and demand early general elections. His party, administration and family continue to be subjected to a series of accusations of corruption," the article says.
The publication recalls that the government of Sanchez and his inner circle "have faced a series of allegations of corruption" over the past year. However, pressure on the Spanish Socialist Party of Sanchez intensified after a former member of the party was accused of trying to conduct a "smear campaign" against the police unit that is investigating the activities of the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Begonia Gomez, his brother David Sanchez and ex-Minister of Transport Jose Luis Abalos.
According to the newspaper, the protest attracted from 45 thousand to 50 thousand people. The demonstrators are carrying placards with the words: "Sanchez is a traitor" and "The government resigns." The leader of the conservative "People's Pariah" that organized the protest, Alberto Nunes Feijoo, called for early elections.
"Spain needs a revolution of decency and freedom, and we will lead this revolution from the streets and at the ballot box," Feijoo said.
Sanchez responds by accusing his opponents of conducting a "harassment and intimidation operation" against him and his wife. The Spanish prime minister claims that the "false accusations" made against her are aimed at causing his "personal and political collapse."
On June 7, a rally was held in Madrid, Spain, against support for Ukraine and the rearmament of the European Union (EU). The protest march ended at the walls of the city government, attended by representatives of more than 30 different organizations in Spain.
