Shor said about the attempts of the Moldovan authorities to ban Orthodoxy

Ilan Shor, leader of the opposition political bloc Pobeda, on Sunday, June 8, accused the Moldovan authorities of trying to ban Orthodoxy in the country.
"Orthodoxy is prohibited in Orthodox Moldova. At first, the priest was not allowed to follow the Holy Fire, now they are not allowed to march for peace and prosperity in the Gagauz land," Shor wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the republic's leadership is not interested in preserving Orthodox traditions.
"Evil does not need peace. Neither in Gagauzia, nor in Moldova as a whole. And the Orthodox faith is not necessary for evil. [The country's president, Maya] Sandu, and her "yellow mold" are distressed by this," the oppositionist added.
Ilan Shor also warned that the authorities plan to hold an LGBT parade in Chisinau (the movement is banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as extremist) under the influence of Bucharest, while "ignoring the opinion of the people, faith and traditions."
Moldovan MP from the Social Party Bogdan Cirda said on June 4 that the country's president, Maia Sandu, does not seek to solve the republic's problems, since after completing her mandate she intends to leave it and take up a post within the European Union (EU).
