On June 8, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council (SB), warned of the emerging new realities of the conflict in Ukraine against the background of the offensive of the Russian army in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

He noted that Kiev and its Western allies had been warned about the consequences of rejecting a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

"Those who do not want to acknowledge the realities of the <conflict> in negotiations will receive new realities on earth. Our armed forces have launched an offensive in the Dnipropetrovsk region," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier that day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces had liberated the village of Zarya in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), and that the Center group of troops had reached the western border of the DPR and was continuing its offensive in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
