Dvalishvili talked on his knees with Trump after defending the UFC title


UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili talked on his knees with US President Donald Trump after successfully defending his title on June 8.
Immediately after the end of the fight, Dvalishvili left the octagon, approached Trump and UFC CEO Dana White, shook their hands and knelt down. After that, Trump said something to the champion.
The 34-year-old fighter from Georgia defeated American Sean O'Malley with a choke hold in the third round, winning his 13th consecutive victory and defending the championship belt for the second time in a row. The athlete's overall record now stands at 20 wins and 4 losses.
The rivals have already met in September 2024 in Las Vegas. Then the Georgian fighter defeated O'Malley by unanimous decision and took away his championship belt.
On April 4, Russian Alexei Oleinik was knocked out by Brazilian Geronimo Dos Santos in the debut fight of Connor McGregor's mixed Martial Arts Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). The Brazilian athlete was able to knock out Oleynik in the last minute of the first round.
