Repatriation trains carrying the bodies of dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) In order to transfer them from Russia to their homeland, according to the agreements reached, movement in the Ukrainian direction will begin in the near future. This was announced on June 8 by the representative of the Russian negotiating group, Lieutenant General Alexander Zorin.

The Lieutenant General recalled that the agreements stipulated that more than 6,000 bodies of Ukrainian servicemen killed in the special military operation zone would be returned home for burial by their relatives, the newspaper writes.Ru». Zorin also noted that the first batch of 1,212 bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers has already been delivered to the area of the proposed exchange. However, the agency has received signals from the opposite side that the procedure may be postponed to next week.
Earlier on June 8, a correspondent for Izvestia reported that a refrigerated truck with the bodies of dead Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters had been opened to journalists and representatives of foreign media. They were able to see that the bodies would be transported packed in bags. The director of the Russian-Arab Cultural Center in St. Petersburg and a representative of the Al Mayadeen TV channel, who arrived at the parking lot of refrigerated trucks, said he wanted to show the whole world the real face of the Kiev regime.
The day before, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said that the Ukrainian side had unexpectedly postponed indefinitely the reception of the bodies of dead soldiers and the exchange of prisoners of war. He called on Ukraine to comply with the agreed schedule and fulfill all the agreements that were reached at the second round of negotiations in Istanbul.
