Putin pointed to the traditions of mercy in the Russian national character
Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated all social workers in the country on their professional holiday, noting the traditions of mercy and care typical for the Russian people. The congratulatory telegram of the head of state was published on the Kremlin's website on June 8.
"Noble traditions of mercy and care, helping those in need of care and compassion have always been in the nature of our people, have found a lively response in the hearts of people and support in society," the message says.
The Head of State stressed that workers in veterans' homes and boarding schools, family and child care centers, and other social organizations are united not only by dedication to their profession, but also by special human qualities such as caring and responsiveness. Putin noted that millions of human lives depend on the dedication and work of social workers.
"I wish you success. I sincerely thank you for your selfless work," the President concluded.
On March 10, Putin ordered the development of a basic regional standard for providing social assistance to soldiers of a special military operation (SVO). In particular, the Russian leader instructed to extend the activities of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation to family members of the missing special operation participants.
