Dvalishvili defends UFC Bantamweight title

Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili defeated American Sean O'Malley in the main bout of the UFC 316 bantamweight tournament. The meeting was held on June 8 in Newark (New Jersey, USA).

Dvalishvili won with a choke hold in the third round and defended the UFC bantamweight title, writes Sport-Express. This victory was the athlete's 13th in a row in the UFC.

The rivals have already met in September 2024 in Las Vegas. Then the Georgian wrestler defeated O'Malley by unanimous decision and took away his championship belt.
