The American side is seriously committed to negotiations with Iran on resolving the issue of the nuclear program. This was announced on June 8 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

"Today we note Washington's much more serious focus on concluding an agreement with Tehran on mutually acceptable terms that would avoid a crisis by eliminating suspicions and prejudices about peaceful nuclear energy in the Islamic Republic of Iran," Ryabkov told TASS.

According to him, at the moment, the parties still have the possibility of "reaching the desired result," and they are moving along the path of dialogue.

He added that Russia, in turn, is assisting Iran and the United States in finding solutions to the issue. Ryabkov clarified that the Russian side denies any attempts by either side to strike at nuclear facilities.

"We are not weakening our efforts aimed at facilitating the energetic search for the necessary negotiated solutions," the Deputy Foreign Minister said.

In addition, he noted that the previous American administration had not kept its promises to return the United States to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

On June 5, the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that Ryabkov and Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali exchanged views on the situation around the Iranian nuclear program during a joint meeting. Both representatives expressed interest in preventing escalation around the program.
