Putin signed a law on simplifying access to maternity capital
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that will simplify access to maternity capital and accelerate its payments through a digital platform. The relevant document was published on June 7 on the official website of the publication of legal acts.
It is specified that the new law was developed in order to switch to the "Social Treasury" system, which will make the process of providing social support automated and help keep records of people eligible for maternity capital. This will make receiving payments faster and easier.
In addition, the law provides for shortening the time for reviewing applications for the disposal of the parent capital. It will take five days from the moment of the child's birth and the transfer of information about it through the Gosuslugi portal to receive the certificate. In addition, the time of interaction between departments on the issue of payment processing will be reduced. According to the document, it will be 48 hours.
Also, thanks to the law, there will be an automatic transfer of the right to the parent capital. Upon death or deprivation of parental rights, the funds will automatically pass to the children or another parent.
Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, said on June 4 that it would be right if maternal family capital was paid not only for the first and second children, but also for each subsequent child.
