The court recovered 358.7 billion rubles from the son of the "crab king" Khan

In order to repay the total debt of 358.7 billion rubles, the court recovered two houses and four land plots from the son of the "crab king" Oleg Kan Alexander. This was reported on June 7 by RIA Novosti with reference to the court materials.

The decision of the Arbitration Court of the Sakhalin region satisfied the bailiffs' claim for foreclosure on four land plots, two of which with an area of more than 1.2 thousand square meters and two more with an area of more than 1 thousand square meters. In addition, two residential buildings with an area of 649 and 129 square meters were converted into state income. All real estate is located in Yuzhno—Sakhalinsk. The court also collected a state duty in the amount of 10.8 thousand rubles from Kan.

In addition, according to the documents, the son of the "crab king" has eight cars and 40 units of real estate worth a total of 299 million rubles. Currently, Alexander Kahn's debt to the state is approximately 337 billion rubles.

In March, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation approved a decision to recover 358.7 billion rubles left by Oleg Kan, the "crab king" who left Russia. In April 2024, the Primorsky Regional Court sentenced Oleg Kan to 17 years in a high-security penal colony for organizing the murder of a businessman in Vladivostok in 2010. The convicted businessman escaped from the investigation and is on the international wanted list, the court in absentia chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
