The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia talked about cooperation with the EAEU

Abkhazia intends to develop cooperation in any format in the Eurasian space, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Oleg Bartsits told Izvestia, answering a question about the possibility of obtaining observer status in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for Abkhazia.

Direct flights between the capitals are expected to open on May 1.

"We are aiming at constructive partnership with countries that are traditionally understandable to us, once formed a single whole with us, which included us. We will act in this direction, trying to join any formats, including in the Eurasian space," he said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation reported on the possibility of requesting observer status in the EAEU.
