An investigation by the US Congress revealed years of misinformation about the existence of UFOs spread by the Pentagon. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal on June 7.

According to the publication, Congress has identified a case from the 1980s when one of the colonels of the Air Force (Air Force) USA visited a bar near "Zone 51", a high—security facility located in the Nevada desert.

The military handed over pictures of flying saucers to the owner of the establishment. The photos quickly spread and sparked conversations about the testing of alien technology by the US military.

The forgery of evidence of the existence of UFOs is explained by the desire to hide the real programs for the creation of secret weapons from the USSR, the newspaper added.

On June 5, the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan denied fakes about the appearance of UFOs in the sky over the country. According to the authorities, the airspace over the region was not violated.

On February 18, it was reported that the Turkish Gaziantep Airport suspended flights due to UFOs. It was clarified that the UFO could be an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
