American entrepreneur Elon Musk and the head of the US Treasury Department, Scott Bessent, started a fight in the corridor of the White House. This was reported by The Washington Post on June 7.

According to the newspaper, in mid-April, Musk and Bessent went to the Oval Office to outline their preferences for a certain official. According to Steve Bannon, a former adviser to US President Donald Trump, the "clash" occurred after the conclusion of this meeting, during which Trump decided to support the President's choice.

The ex-adviser said that Musk and Bessent went out into the corridor, where they began exchanging insults. The finance minister mentioned that he could disclose "more than $1 trillion in wasteful and fraudulent government spending," which the entrepreneur, whom he called a "complete fraudster," failed to do.
