The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia revealed forecasts for the tourist flow this season

A record number of tourists are expected in Abkhazia after the opening of the airport in Sukhumi, the republic's Foreign Minister Oleg Bartsits told Izvestia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Energy canceled the recommendations not to visit it and not to sell tours there.

"We expect it to be a record season. Today we are ready to receive a record number of tourists. In this regard, new tourist routes are being developed. Relevant departments are actively discussing the quality of the tourism product that we are obliged to provide to our guests," he said.

Flights from Moscow to Sukhum were launched in May.
