Vance expressed hope for reconciliation between Trump and Musk.

On June 7, US Vice President Jay Dee Vance expressed hope for the restoration of relations between American leader Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk.

"Elon will eventually return to our ranks. Maybe it's not possible now because he's gone too far, but I still hope so," Vance said on the podcast This Past Weekend.

He also added that he would always be on Trump's side, regardless of the president's position towards Musk.

On June 5, Elon Musk, after Trump's announcement about the possible termination of government contracts with his companies to save the state budget, announced that his aerospace company SpaceX would decommission the Dragon spacecraft, which are used by the United States to deliver people and cargo to International Space stations.

However, later that day, the American entrepreneur announced that SpaceX would not decommission the Dragon spacecraft, as previously planned.
