Motorcyclist Mavlet Esenbolatov, who was hit and run over by a Rolls-Royce in St. Petersburg, has a broken pelvis, shoulder, elbow and several vertebrae. He will have a new operation in the near future, his lawyer Zaur Batsiev told Izvestia on June 7.

"Yesterday I had shoulder surgery <...> . A plate was installed, recovery will be difficult, of course. His condition wasn't good yesterday, but he's feeling better today. He's on painkillers. Let's hope that he will recover soon," said Batsiev.

According to him, the motorcyclist received the main damage when an SUV weighing several tons drove over him.

"His groin is also cut, there are serious concerns about some serious consequences," the lawyer added.

Batsiev also said that the culprit of the accident, businessman Sergey Sosorev, had reimbursed the damage in full.

The accident occurred on June 1 at the intersection of Peterhof highway and Admiral Tributs Street. The white Rolls-Royce decided to turn around from the right lane through the safety island, as a result of which it hit a motorcyclist moving in the left lane. After the collision, the driver did not stop and ran over the man with the wheels of the SUV.

Criminal cases have been opened against Sosorev for causing serious harm to health and attempted murder. The court remanded him in custody for 2 months.
