Ukraine has announced its refusal to accept its fallen soldiers on Trinity Parents' Saturday, when it is customary to pray for all the dead. This was announced on June 7 by Russian Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky.

"It is a day when Orthodox Christians pray for all the dead, without dividing them into friends and strangers. Today, on Trinity Parents' Saturday, it would be right for Ukraine to receive its fallen," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
