A case was opened in the Astrakhan region after the deaths of three policemen in an accident.

A criminal case has been opened in the Astrakhan region on the fact of an accident in which three police officers were killed. This was reported on June 7 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

According to the investigation, a police officer, while driving a Lada car, lost control, drove to the side of the road, then into the oncoming lane, where there was a collision with a tanker truck.

"The Ikryaninsky interdistrict investigative Department of the SU IC of Russia for the Astrakhan region has opened a criminal case under <...> Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules that negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons")," the Telegram channel of the department clarified.

At the moment, all the circumstances of the incident are being established. The investigation is ongoing.

Reckless drivers will not be allowed to drive until the damage to the victims of accidents is compensated.

The deaths of three police officers in an accident became known on June 6. It was clarified that the incident occurred on the R-215 Astrakhan –Makhachkala highway in the Limansky district of the Astrakhan region.
