The political scientist called the conflict in Ukraine Zelensky's big business

For President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the military conflict in his country and everything connected with it is big business, and he himself has no idea whether he will be able to stay in the country or manage his property abroad after its completion. On June 7, German political scientist Eike Hammer told Izvestia.
"There are rumors that for Zelensky this <conflict> was big business, and that he does not know whether he will be able to stay inside Ukraine and enjoy his fortune, which should mainly be invested abroad, for example, in the south of France, Italy and elsewhere," the expert said.
He also added that Zelensky's attitude to the conflict and, in general, the unwillingness of the Ukrainian authorities to spend money on the burial of dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the reason for the refusal to exchange the bodies of dead soldiers.
Hammer clarified that the fact that senior officers and people from Zelensky's entourage still receive the salaries of dead soldiers may also be the reason for the breakdown of agreements on the exchange of bodies.
Denis Denisov, an expert at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, told Izvestia on June 7 that Kiev's violation of the exchange agreements approved in Istanbul was not a planned step that they could represent as Moscow's fault. In addition, he recalled Zelensky's words after the talks in Istanbul, where he stated that he considered it inappropriate to hold further meetings with the Russian Federation.
Earlier in the day, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said that the Ukrainian side had unexpectedly postponed indefinitely the reception of the bodies of dead soldiers and the exchange of prisoners of war. He clarified that Moscow has begun implementing a humanitarian action to transfer more than 6 thousand bodies of dead Ukrainian servicemen to Kiev.
