On June 7, Honored Artist of Russia, author and performer SHAMAN (real name Yaroslav Dronov) shared with Izvestia the details of his performance at the Intervision competition and his experience of working with producer Maxim Fadeev.

SHAMAN recalled that he traditionally performs Fadeev's song "Dancing on Glass" barefoot on real broken glass.

"If you've been to at least one of my concerts, you know that it completely changes the atmosphere in the hall from the first notes," the artist said backstage at the MUZ-TV 2025 LEGEND Award ceremony.

He also emphasized the uniqueness of Fadeev's musical style and called working with him creative and professionally developing.

Speaking about the song "Straight to the heart", which he will perform at Intervision, SHAMAN explained that this particular repertoire corresponds to the spirit of the competition: "a little unearthly, but with our Russian scope." According to him, he sincerely believes in the power of this composition.

"Music is a universal language, it doesn't need translators. Music is able to express what cannot be said in words, but which is impossible to keep silent about," said Dronov, answering the question whether foreign listeners would understand the song in Russian.

The artist added that he dreams of Russian music being heard and loved all over the world.

"Our contest song turned out to be surprisingly tender and very sincere. I am sure that she will reach every heart on the planet," SHAMAN concluded.

The international music competition "Intervision" will be held on September 20 at the Live Arena in Moscow. The competition is a platform for cultural exchange and demonstration of mutual respect for the traditions of the participating countries.
