In the Urmar district of Chuvashia, four people were killed in an accident involving two cars. This was reported on June 7 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

"On June 7, at about 11:20 a.m., Volkswagen Polo and Opel Astra cars collided on the 5th kilometer of the Anish highway in the territory of the Urmar district," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is reported that the 69-year-old Volkswagen driver drove into the oncoming lane and collided with an Opel. As a result of the incident, three people died on the spot. Another woman died in a medical facility.

The circumstances of the incident are being clarified. It is known that the speedometer needle on the Volkswagen is frozen at 140 km/h.

Earlier that day, it became known that two people were killed in a collision between a car and a motorcycle on the Ural Highway in Samara. Alexander Deryabin, head of the Department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry for the region, noted that the victims died before the ambulance arrived.
