On June 7, a solemn ceremony was held in the Astrakhan Region to award the 439th Guards Perekop Order of Kutuzov, II degree, to the rocket artillery brigade with the Order of Suvorov of the Southern Military District.
The award ceremony was held in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dated March 26, 2025. At the beginning of the event, flowers were laid at the memorial of the fallen participants of special military operations (SVO). The military marched in a solemn formation on the parade ground.
The brigade's servicemen were awarded the Order of Suvorov "for the courage, bravery and dedication shown by its personnel during their military operations." This honorary state award is awarded to the military in special cases for heroism and courage in carrying out combat missions.
"The actions of the brigade's units are distinguished by high professionalism, endurance and heroism. In whatever conditions and circumstances they had to perform their tasks," said Alexey Sukhoruchenko, Deputy Chief of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Southern Military District, who presented the order.
Yevgeny Artamonov, a military officer of the Southern Military District, said that awarding the brigade with such a high award was the merit of all personnel. It was noted at the event that the dead servicemen of the brigade are directly related to the high state award they received.
According to the military ritual, the order was attached to the Banner. A new UAZ car was also presented to the brigade from the volunteer community. There was a concert at the end.
On May 18, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that an award ceremony was held in the special military operation zone for servicemen of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Zapad group of forces for successfully completing tasks in the Krasnolimansk area. More than 30 servicemen who showed courage, perseverance and high professionalism in carrying out combat missions received medals for Bravery, Zhukov and Suvorov, as well as St. George Crosses of the IV degree.
