The French Ministry of Defense announced the plans of the country's automobile plant to produce drones in Ukraine

A major French automaker, together with a French defense company, intends to organize the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Ukraine, French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu said on June 7.

According to him, France intends to launch a "completely unprecedented partnership."

"A large French car company, I will not mention its name, because they will announce it themselves, will join forces with a French defense company from the small and medium—sized business sector, on the basis of which we will equip production lines in Ukraine to be able to produce drones," Le Monde newspaper quoted Lecorny as saying.

The minister added that not only Ukraine, but also the French army will benefit from the enterprise, as the military will be provided with constant tactical and operational training, as it should be in an armed conflict.

"You know, today's [self—propelled artillery] CAESAR and CAESAR from four years ago are no longer the same thing," Lecorn added.
