Sultan of Oman Haytham bin Tariq Al Said issued a decree on the abolition of visas for tourists from Russia. This is reported by the publication Shabiba.

It is specified that the decree came into force after the ratification of the agreement, which was signed on April 22 this year after negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Sultan of Oman.

According to the agreement, each party grants citizens of the other party's State the right to stay in its territory without a visa for 30 days each time they visit.

On April 22, Russia and Oman signed an agreement on the mutual abolition of the visa regime for citizens of the two countries. It was noted that the total period of stay in the country should not exceed 90 days within one year. The visa-free regime does not apply to those entering for permanent residence, study or work.
