Russian paratroopers destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces observation post in Chasovyi Yar

Artillery of the Ivanovo paratroopers destroyed an observation post and a machine-gun crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the multi-storey house of Chasova Yar of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on June 7 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"We are currently working, you know, in the direction of Chasova Yara. Now we are moving further, further, that is, to the center," said a Russian military officer with the call sign Shamik.

According to the ministry, calculations of 152-millimeter D-20 howitzers of the Ivanovo Guards Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) regularly inflict fire damage on the enemy in the direction of Chasova Yar, supporting assault units during the liberation of the city.

It is reported that during aerial reconnaissance, an observation post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discovered in one of the multi-storey buildings of the city. In a nearby entrance, intelligence found an equipped machine-gun emplacement, from which Ukrainian soldiers fired a heavy machine gun, hindering the advance of the airborne assault groups.

The Ministry of Defense clarified that the coordinates of the targets were immediately transferred to the regiment's control center, where it was decided to destroy them with fire from 152-millimeter D-20 howitzers.

The gun crew, having received a combat mission, immediately began to carry it out and inflicted fire damage at the specified coordinates, which allowed the stormtroopers to move forward and clear several more buildings.

It is specified that the combat work of the gun crews is characterized by high intensity. The shooting is conducted from a distance of more than 15 km using high-explosive fragmentation shells, which allows maximum fire damage to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thanks to the coordination of calculations, the courage and heroism of the paratrooper gunners, the task was completed, the enemy personnel were destroyed, the Defense Ministry said.
