Roskachestvo reported on a new fraud scheme before Russia Day

On the eve of Russia Day, scammers have invented a new scheme to deceive citizens through Telegram. This was announced on June 7 at the Center for Digital Expertise of Roskachestvo.
"The main purpose of such fraudulent schemes is to gain access to Telegram user accounts. Entering the code gives the attackers full control over the account, allowing them to send spam," the statement says. Lenta.Ru .
According to Roskachestvo, the attackers, through Telegram bots, offer to participate in a "prize draw" for the holiday, while promising a large amount of money as winnings. To participate, the user is asked for contacts, and then asked to enter the code that comes in the SMS.
Earlier that day, in St. Petersburg, police officers detained a group of fraudsters who hacked pages on the Gosuslugi portal in order to steal money. It was noted that the attackers purchased previously used SIM cards and used special programs to find out which numbers they used to register for Public Services. After that, the scammers hacked into other people's accounts and obtained the full personal data of their owners.
