The media reported on the US plans to allocate $500 million to the Gaza relief fund.

The American authorities are considering the possibility of allocating $500 million to a fund to help the population of the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on June 6.
"The [US] State Department is considering allocating $500 million to a new fund providing assistance to the war—stricken Gaza Strip," the agency writes, citing two knowledgeable sources and two former American officials.
Sources told Reuters on condition of anonymity that the money for the Humanitarian Aid Fund for Gaza (GHF) will come from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which is currently part of the State Department. They also said that this plan has met resistance from some Washington officials who are concerned about the shootings of Palestinians near humanitarian aid distribution points.
Previously, the fund had to suspend aid distribution twice due to overcrowded distribution centers. Since the beginning of its activity, the organization has opened three distribution centers, but now only two of them are functioning.
As indicated by Reuters, it has not yet been possible to establish who is currently financing the fund's operations. He is known to use private American security and logistics companies to transport aid to Gaza.
On June 3, 27 Palestinians were killed by gunfire at one of the distribution centers. The Israeli army's press service later confirmed that the military had opened fire to kill at the GHF distribution center in Rafah, as they considered a group of people at the center threatening.
