Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred in Kyrgyzstan


An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 was recorded in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced on June 7 on the website of the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic.
The epicenter of the seismic event was located at a distance of 15 km south-east of the village of Orto-Syrt and at a distance of 20 km north-east of the village of Ak-Beyit.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.

On June 5, it was reported that two consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 4.6 and 4.1 occurred in Kyrgyzstan with an interval of six minutes. Seismic events were recorded in the Naryn region of the country. Aftershocks with a magnitude of 4.6 were recorded at 16:18 (13:18 Moscow time), the second with a magnitude of 4.1 at 16:24 (13:24 Moscow time).
