In the village of Zykovo in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a newborn's body was found in a package on the shore of a lake. This was announced on June 7 by the Main Investigative Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"The investigative authorities received a message about the discovery of the body of a newborn female child wrapped in a towel and a bag near the shore on a lake near the village of Zykovo, Berezovsky district," the Telegram channel says.

A criminal case was opened on this fact on the grounds of a crime under Article 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a newborn child by a mother"). All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

The suspect in the case is the babies' father.

The day before, a source from Izvestia reported that in the village of Dubrovka, Leningrad region, two janitors found a package containing a two-hour-old girl. According to the source, the newborn had head bruises. The girl was taken to the hospital.
