China allowed the deterioration of relations between Russia and Germany due to Merz's actions

China expressed the opinion that the political steps of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz could lead to a sharp deterioration in relations with Russia. This was reported on June 6 by the Sohu portal.

"Given [Russian President Vladimir] Putin's tough stance Putin's probability of such a scenario (deterioration of relations — Ed.) is very high," the article clarifies.

According to Sohu, Merz's statements regarding the lifting of restrictions on the use of long-range weapons in Kiev may worsen relations between Germany and Russia. It is reported that German Foreign Minister Johan Vadefuhl may be one of the few high-ranking officials in the country who are aware of the consequences of the escalation of relations between Moscow and Berlin.
