A fire occurred in an apartment building in Ust-Ilimsk, as a result of which a pensioner died. This was reported on June 7 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Irkutsk region.

"A report of smoke in the entrance of a five-story building on Molodezhnaya Street was received from eyewitnesses late in the evening. <...> A 71-year—old man was found on the floor in an apartment on the second floor," the press service said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that the man was handed over to the ambulance staff, but it was not possible to save him. In addition, specialists rescued three people and evacuated 15.
