Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled the Chinab Railway Bridge, which connects the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country. This was announced on June 6 by the Indian Prime Minister in his account on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

"We feel a sense of great pride that this bridge organically combines ambition and implementation, which reflect India's ability to create a futuristic infrastructure in the most challenging conditions," he wrote.

Modi noted that this project will improve communication between the two cities of Jammu and Srinagar, which will have a beneficial effect on trade and tourism.

This 1.3 km long bridge is located at an altitude of 359 m above sea level and is the tallest in the world.

Bloomberg reported on May 20 that India is discussing a three-stage trade deal with the United States, hoping to reach an interim agreement before retaliatory US trade duties take effect in July.
