On June 6, the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, announced that provocateurs from Ukraine, on the eve of the second anniversary of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP, sent him photographs taken two years ago of the neighborhood in Kherson where his house was located.

"They even dropped me footage from two years ago of a flooded neighborhood in Kherson, where my house is, which I personally built when I was still young," Saldo shared in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On November 18, 2024, Baldo announced that it could take several years to restore the Kakhovskaya HPP, which was destroyed as a result of a terrorist attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in June 2023. At the same time, he added that the hydroelectric power plant has enormous damage.
