The head of the Sochi farmstead was relieved of his post

The Vaalam monastery dismissed Archbishop Gabriel from his post. This was announced on June 7 by the monastery's press service in the Telegram channel.

"Abbot Gabriel (Vinogradov) has been relieved of his post as head of the Sochi compound of the Valaam Monastery and the ascribed hermitage since June 5, 2025," the statement said.

The reasons for which the abbot suspended him were not disclosed.

On May 21, Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratiev dismissed his deputy Alexander Nesterenko, who oversaw the region's construction sector. The reason for the suspension was a systematic lag behind schedule. Kondratiev noted that such a person cannot take a place in a responsible position.
