Drunk man drowned in St. Petersburg while trying to swim in the Neva River
In St. Petersburg, a man died after jumping into the Neva River from a bridge. According to preliminary data, he was drunk. This was reported on June 6 in the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city.
"According to preliminary data, today in the daytime, a man intoxicated jumped into the Neva River in order to swim, but could not swim out and died," the department's Telegram channel clarified.
Investigators are investigating all the circumstances of the incident and interviewing witnesses.
On May 15, in St. Petersburg, a man in a state of drug intoxication fell into the Fontanka River near the Anichkov Bridge from the roof of a motor ship. He jumped across the roofs of moored motor ships and failed to keep his balance.
