The date of farewell to the Aquarium's co-founder Gunitsky has become known.


The farewell to Anatoly Gunitsky, poet and journalist, co-founder of the rock band Aquarium, will take place on June 11 in St. Petersburg. This was announced on June 6 by his friend, composer and multi-instrumentalist Yuri Kasyanik.
The memorial service will be held at the crematorium on Shafirovsky Avenue. The number of the hall and the place of the funeral will be announced later.
"11:45 a.m. Moscow time on the 11th, crematorium. [The farewell] is open to everyone," TASS quoted Kasyanik as saying.
Gunitsky died on June 5 at the age of 72. As Kasyanik noted, he has been seriously ill in recent years.
Gunitsky performed under the pseudonym "George". He played drums in the Aquarium and also wrote lyrics for songs. Gunitsky's poems were used in many albums of the band, including "The Temptation of the Holy Aquarium", "Minuet to the Farmer", "Parables of Count Diffuser" and many others.
