Editor of the URA news agency.Denis Allayarov was arrested in Yekaterinburg in the case of bribing an official. This was announced on Friday, June 6, by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Leninsky District Court of the city.

The editor was detained on the evening of June 5. On the same day, the editorial office and the apartments of some agency employees were searched. As previously reported by the agency itself, Allayarov is suspected of paying a bribe in the amount of 20 thousand rubles.

At the same time, the report notes that former police officer Andrei Karpov, to whom the journalist is suspected of transferring money, is his uncle.

Earlier, the court placed Karpov under house arrest until August 4. According to the Izvestia source, Allayarov is suspected of buying police intelligence reports.
